About the event

Relax and unwind with a soothing sound bath! Lie down and relax while the healing vibrations of Cathy's soothing instruments wash over you. Sound baths have been shown to calm your mind, release tension, decrease anxiety, lessen stress levels, boost your mood and improve sleep*.

During this sound bath you will be gently guided into a relaxed state, followed by music from metal Tibetan bowls, a steel tongue drum and chimes. When the music ends you will be guided back to your wakeful state. This one-hour sound bath will be followed by a half-hour of tea and community. You will be lying down or sitting on the floor for approximately one hour. Bring a yoga mat and any blankets, pillows, bolsters etc. that you would like to support your comfort during this experience. Please arrive on time as we are unable to accommodate late-comers once the sound bath has begun.

This sound bath is scheduled during Tremont's December Walkabout, a monthly event featuring extended hours and specials at neighborhood galleries, shops and restaurants. Sample the neighborhood then treat yourself to a taste of serenity.

We are conveniently located on Kenilworth Avenue, half a block east of Civilization, Cloak & Dagger, and Lincoln Park. GPS may mistakenly send you behind the building via West 11th. Avoid this and park on the street. :)

Accessibility: There is a small step up into the building, and another step up inside to reach the bathroom.
